Why Creativity Coaching?
To Reconnect Your Creative Work to Your Heart and Spirit
As a Creativity Coach, I can help you
Design a plan of action. This might encompass a work strategy that best suits your needs and available time. Or it may consist of prioritizing a list of people and places to contact to promote your work.
Implement specific goals and choices to support your success. The techniques depend upon your goals.
- Face the challenges and fears that hold you back. Creative work holds special challenges and fears beyond those found in everyday life. Simple techniques can help you stay in the creative flow and avoid having your creative project derailed. We can also work with where attention leaks exist and how to handle distractions.
- Maintain a healthy balance between your personal work and your creative life. Often there is a push and pull of your creativity trying to fit in with the rest of your life. Healthy boundaries help you keep the peace and integrate your creative passion into your life.
- Work through creative blocks or reduce them to a manageable size. What are some possible creative blocks? Anxious self-talk, self-censorship, repeated parental or spousal tapes, myths and idealizations, inner conflicts. A creativity coach can help you empower yourself, first by uncovering the blocks and then by nudging them aside.
- Connect with your inner wisdom by learning to quiet your mind and open your heart as you approach your creative practice. There are many mindfulness techniques to approach creating from your center. I believe that each of us is a richly layered human being with unlimited potential. One of the core tenets of my Creativity Coaching practice is to help to keep you tuned to the hopes and dreams of what you want to happen with your creative practice.
