Experience
My personal creative practice is with writing (fiction, poetry and articles), art (painting, photography and fiber art), intuitive dreamwork and drumming.
My previous clients have included but were not limited to artists creating in many areas from sculpture to fiber art. I have coached writers specializing in novels, poetry and memoir. As a member of Romance Writers of America and MERWA, I can speak the language of romance writing from category to single-title and from romantic suspense to paranormal. I have also coached musicians.
Academically I hold a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Maine and an MFA in Creative Writing from Bowling Green State University. Since then, I have completed graduate courses in Art Therapy and Expressive Therapies at Seton Hill University in PA and at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA.
I also have personal experience working with Julia Cameron’s Artist’s Way materials.
In Creativity Coaching, I have trained in 1:1 client coaching with Dr. Eric Maisel.
My publications are in various publications. Some of these are Portland Review of the Arts, Pinyon Review. La Bella Figura, and upcoming in 07 in Paterson Literary Review.
I have had editorial experience with Mostly Maine and Mid American Review.
